Thanks to catholicwrestling for your years of service. Good luck to you in your newest ventures but I still expect your wisdom and feedback from time to time. You’ve earned a spot next to the OG @mrpundit from the old forum in the Board of Fame. With many teams already certifying it’s time to revive the forum! Who is at which weight?! A few big transfers into and within VIS! The return of FUMA! Coaching changes! Tournament team and dual team rankings and of course P4P! Of course this will work best if everyone contributes! 106 113 120 126 132 138 144 150 157 165 175 190 215 285 *disclaimer: I am NOT going to do the rankings, just want to get the ball rolling. Who amongst us will step up to the challenge?

Great note….it would be great if the VISAA contingent could provide some insight. Catholicwrestling is big shoes to fill….hopefully someone is knowledgeable enough to give it a go.

I see that St. Chris and Benedictine are both headed up to McDonogh this weekend for the Ray Oliver Tournament. Are there any possible head-to-head matches that are worth looking forward to? It appears that STC is stacked at the lower weights, again. Can any of the Benedictine wrestlers hang with them?

Granby and Bayside Hampton roads schools wrestled norfolks collegiate Last night. Impressive turnout. Private school freshman Carson Miller 113 looked unbeatable and tearing up the summer tournaments I’ve been told. Tough all around 120’s and 130’s on all schools. The Boone kid from collegiate wrestled at 150lbs. He was a force to be w reckoned with for awhile until knee injury at end of year. Looks as though he back with vengeance this year. Handled top ranked kids by decision not pins but was way impressive. The Bronson Grigg heavy 215 lb is in a tough man bout every time he shows. Won by pin against all We see how all shakes out this next few tournaments. Those 3 are top shelf

Hornet Holiday Tourney had some great matches for both public and private schools. Great Bridge dominated - but close field thereafter. Movement in weight class for VISAA including men from PC and CHC.

Is O’Boyle 175 for the rest of the season? That may shake up the rankings a bit.

Miller tearing up summer tournaments and Boone handling top ranked wrestlers isn’t reflected in track. Could you clarify? O’Boyle went 175 again last night. Either weight he’s the #1. Cape had an impressive team finish at the Holiday Hornet. FUMA is back and their middle weights are legit. Beat Cape at last nights meet in a tight finish. Look forward to seeing both teams at full strength

vawrestling1911, great start to the rankings! Many thanks.
Also terrific to hear that Fork Union is back and fielding another competitive team.
Can anyone expand on their roster and strength in their middle weights? Names, weights, results….
Hopefully we start seeing more results on track or on this forum to identify and acknowledge the top wrestlers.

Cash Colbert competed at McDonogh at 190 last weekend.
If 138 plays out as predicted, that's 3 returning State Champs in the same weight class - pretty cool!

Luke Murray is the only one of the three to certify lower so if anyone drops it will be him. Currently, that is a wonderful semifinal group.
175 is without a doubt the deepest weight currently. The lack of the old 182 certainly caused a cluster affect. It will be interesting if either O'boyle or Finck drop. Both certified at lower weight classes. I hope they stay for my entertainment.
