In stead of me posting the new rankings. Leave any comments here if there are any results that went unnoticed that could impact a weight class. We appreciate all the feedback from everyone.

This is very useful it’s appreciated! Probably been the most annoying part of rankings this year. Dealing with the amount of re-classified schools.

No problem. I am in the midst of updating the 5A rankings and have a question. Irizarry beat Ciotoli 3-1 at the Toys for Tots Tournament 2 weeks ago. What is justification for ranking him below Ciotoli in VAWA rankings? Am I missing another recent H-2-H?

What is justification for ranking him below Ciotoli in VAWA rankings? Am I missing another recent H-2-H? it was the lose to Brandon Cynar of Western Branch 11-6 at King of Beasts on 12/16. Not saying losing to Cynar is a bad loss. Just had Ciotoli ranked #1 at 113 so he doesn’t fall back that far losing a close match and Irizarry was ranked 11th but the wins against Hunter Elliott and now Ciotoli moves him back up. He also has an earlier loss to Loudon County’s Bryce Schnelzer.

I am surprised they have Noah at 150. He wrestled 144 at beast and was down to 138 at Poweraid. He hasn’t wrestled 150 since the start of the year and been working his way down.

He hasn’t wrestled 150 since the start of the year and been working his way down. just waiting for another weigh in honestly. Don’t want to keep moving kids around, so once they compete in a dual or something soon we’ll make that adjustment. A few kids are moving around it seems. Hoping this weather holds off or isn’t too bad. Fingers crossed!

Noah looked really big at 138. I have heard he can’t maintain it for the year but he has now made scratch weight for the year. Not sure what that means for the other two Peyton and Caiden. Do they both bump up at some point.

Just curious if anyone else has noticed overall records in Trackwrestling changing after dual/tri/quad matches but things like significant wins being left out? Is this based on input from the coaches or a glitch in Trackwrestling? If it's an input error then that could be why some kids rankings seem off.

It's really hard to guess Staunton River from 138-150 because all of those kids can go 138 and I'm guessing they'll just fall either where they decide or where the coaches decide. Hard to assume it's not fluid. I'd assume Nininger ends up at 138 or 150 to beat Hand or Tyler, the other two wouldn't be favorites in those matchups. Then the other two split somehow with Saavedra taking the lower of the two weights available.
Hand is obviously really good and I know some of the other southern Virginia crowd has spoken lightly of Tyler, but that's a mistake on their part. The wins those kids have they think can hang with him pale in comparison to some of the wins that kid has (Carson Main, Joey DiVello for example).
So.. we play the guessing game when it comes to SR. It makes it exciting honestly. We try to put ourselves in their shoes and guess what they'll do, but we're not them so who knows, lol.

I wouldn’t put too much into the weights at Powerade. They have different weights than VHSL and were given 3lbs day one and 4 lbs day 2.

I think Noah can definitely maintain 138 he went 126 at super 32 and cuts weight really well I believe Saavedra might cut down to 132 Manning and Colin go down as well making manning a top 3 finish, as well as letting Colin win 120 without worry’s of Sanati and Saavedra take the 132 title or Saavedra bumps up to 144 going for the title there then bumping Hatcher to 150
