Kudos to the Fishburne Military School and their administration for taking in several FUMA wrestlers who were left without a season after the FUMA school administration decided just last week to cancel the season and destroy the hopes and dreams for 26 wrestlers for a second consecutive year. Wrestlers such as Logan Kreamer and Ryan Barone will join FMS and make an instant impact to the lineup and the VIS. Coach Waters has to be excited for the young men and the current state of the Caissons. It remains to be seen how the lineup will play out for FMS as now the team's best 2 wrestlers sit certified for the same 138lb class. Who will attempt to win a crown at 138 and who will take on STC's Cale Roggie for a chance at a 145lb championship? Kreamer met Roggie in the semis at the 2019-20 VIS state tournament where Roggie was unphased and won by tech fall. Kreamer has much improved as did Roggie. Will we See if Logan has closed the gap or will Lance Doorman make the move? Doorman was the 2019-20 1A 3rd place 106lb state finisher for Stonewall Jackson, but has looked great this year moving to a 10-0 record. All in all, this is a good problem to have for FMS, but more importantly, hats off to FMS for giving the kids a chance to compete in 2021-22.

FUMA has always been less about the students and more about the foundation and their fundraising. I would dissuade anyone from sending their students-athletes there. The administration and "leadership" should be ashamed of themselves. Hardly the model for young men.

Fishburne might fair well against other VISSA schools this year and years to come. They definitely have some “heat (in the good sense)” on their roster.
Thank you Fishburne for giving these wrestlers the opportunity to do what they love, while being guided by great coaches.

I am a parent of one of the wrestlers that transferred to Fishburne. We are beyond thankful and blessed that Fishburne Military Academy and Terry Waters and assistant coaches John and Bob welcomed our sons with open arms. Our son loves all of the coaches and have made this transition go smoothly. This was a very unfortunate situation, but kids are resilient. We are truly grateful for everyone who has helped guide us during these times.
