Here is the first list of Pound-For-Pound VISAA Rankings. These are purely for entertainment, and the sake of discussion. They are not meant to inflate or diminish the level of any of these great kids.

I know he hasn't had the chance to showcase himself in the VIS, but Mitchell Faglioni is a heck of a wrestler. I hope he gets healthy this season and we get to see him match up with Dunham from BCP - I think that would be a heck of a match. Arbogast should be higher IMO. His performance at National Preps last year was very impressive. By the way, Flo came out with their first round of National Prep rankings last week - www.flowrestling.org/rankings/7215966-2021-22-national-preps-rankings/39575-pound-for-pound

I agree with vawrestling1911. Arbogast should be higher. Also, I'm not sure what's up with Faglioni but I agree. He was 2nd at NHSCA's in the off-season. I'd argue that Arbogast, Dunham and Faglioni should be above Roggie. I like Roggie but feel the others have produced a little more last season and in the off-season.

Rumor has it Faglioni under went a surgery and his status is up in the air if he can return. Does anyone know anything about this FUMA, Manganiello kid?

It looks like Manganiello is a 2-time state champ from Connecticut. FUMA appears to have another tough kid. Looks like he’s taking a big step up in weight and certified at 152. My suspicion is that there will be a few VA kids ready to challenge his hope for a 3-peat at 152 and Roggie is the top dog at 145. Should be fun to watch.

Unfortunately, you won’t get the chance to see it this year, as Manganiello is out for the season while recovering from surgery. He should be ready for his senior year, next year.
Thanks.

Ugh….that stinks for the young man, I hope he heals well and comes back even stronger. Nice to see another VISAA wrestler in the National Preps Top 10. I think “coach” will have more to work with on the rankings after next weekend. I suggest folks send in results and observations to help define the list.
