Looks like the NFHS has voted in the college scoring(3 pt takedown, 2,3,4 point nearfall), one supporting point in bounds to score and eliminated the 10’ circle. The mat just got bigger and the scoring has been increased! Times are changing, I figured it would take several years before high school adopted the college rule changes.

3 PT. Takedown is just for the first takedown of the match if I read it correctly. Everything after that is 2 pts.

I agree with Keel. I don't like the 3pt for only the first take down. Are we sure that will be the rule?

I think it’s 3 for a td. The minutes from the meeting had lots of proposals. I think over 60. Lots of crazy stuff was proposed. Flagrant misconduct for a suplex, a tap out option, end the match if a wrestler has injury time from his back…… I think they just adopted college scoring and out of bounds, then did away with the 10’circle.
