My apologies for the delay in getting these online. My intent was to put these out on Tuesday and then update them to correctly reflect updated weights, injuries, and notable upsets after this week's District championships. But coaching and Wrestling Dad duties got in the way, and I haven't been able to sit down at a computer until now. Below are the end-of-season 6A rankings with some imperfect updates reflecting Region 6C's district results from Wednesday and yesterday. Unfortunately, because we lost two weekends worth of wrestling (especially the Joe Verciglio tournament on the 6th) due to dodgy weather cancellations, we have less head-to-head matchups for data, so I've expanded these rankings to 10 wrestlers/class to give some more kids recognition of strong seasons.
I'll try to update these next Monday to reflect the other 6A district results (assuming they are posted on Track), but until I do so, feel free to chime in with any revisions/updates that should be noted. Until then, best of luck to all wrestlers (and their anxious parents) wrestling this weekend and into the postseason.

10. Muhammad Aboghoush, Potomac
Note: Cramer has been bouncing between 126 and 132 in January duals. I don't see any of the 6A districts listed on Track, so am going with his last competition for now. Discuss amongst yourselves which weight class gives him a better chance of earning a 4th state title . . .
138LBS
1. Geoff Whelan, Mountain View
2. Nathan Moore, Grassfield
3. Michael Phoutasen, Landstown
4. Benjamin Aguilar, Brooke Point

150LBS
1. Chase Van Hoven, Brooke Point
2. Matox Allen, Grassfield
3. Brady Calderwood, Herndon
4. Monte Sanchez, C.D. Hylton
5. Colin Jackson, Edison
6. Dustin Kohn, Mountain View (assuming he gets the nod here rather than Branden Kiraly)
7. Owen Clayborne, Patriot
8. Colin Alderman, Gainesville
9. Jeremy SeGraves, West Potomac
10. Michael Guidice, Deep Run
Note: I had Christopher Hamm penciled in at number 7, but see that he is not on Woodbridge's roster for tomorrow's Cardinal districts.
157LBS
1. Ben Weader, Chantilly
2. Kross Cassidy, Fairfax
3. Shane Givens, Highland Springs
4. Alek Martinez, Oakton
5. Jacob Charlesworth, Lake Braddock
6. Keegan Pado, Battlefield
7. Neil Alleman, Yorktown
8. Matthew Kidd, West Springfield
9. Derek Swensen, Western Branch
10. Ethan Pugh, Freedom (SR)
Note: 2023 PA state qualifier Kross Cassidy made his debut in Fairfax's last dual meet of the season to gain postseason eligibility, and proceeded to pin his way through the field (including a first-period fall over Lake Braddock's Charlesworth) to win the Patriot District tourney on Wednesday. So, yeah, he's for real.
165LBS
1. Robert Ronsckvitz, Langley
2. Gabriel Cortes, Mountain View
3. Augustus Fleming, Brooke Point
4. Nana Utsey, Glen Allen
5. Kyler Swensen, Western Branch
6. Jake Brubaker, Westfield
7. Jordy Lopez-Funes, Annandale
8. Ali Khawaja, Fairfax
9. Patrick Gordon, Freedom (SR)
10. Mekhi Ferguson, Landstown
175LBS
1. Corey Bell, Mountain View
2. Lucas Matheny, Lake Braddock
3. Joshua Villatoro, Brooke Point
or . . .
1. Lucas Matheny, Lake Braddock
2. Joshua Villatoro, Brooke Point
3. Blake Jones, Mountain View
and in either case . . .
4. Michael Rivetti, Chantilly
5. Gavin Whiteside, South County
6. Ryan Gioffre, Battlefield
7. Mohammed Elhajj, Fairfax
8. Jalal Haidari, John Lewis
9. Nicholas Rosado, Glen Allen
10. Bryce Flanders, Colgan
Note 1: How to rank the top 3 depends largely on Mountain View's lineup. Corey Bell weighed in at 172lbs at Escape the Rock on January 12, but medical forfeited out of the tourney and (according to Track) hasn't competed since, with Blake Jones moving up from 157lbs to fill the spot here for Mountain View's last dual, where he was defeated by Villatoro, suggesting the Brooke Point wrestler's upset of Bell at 190lbs was not necessarily a fluke. As with 150lbs, we'll have to stay tuned for the release of Mountain View's lineup for Saturday's Commonwealth District championships;
Note 2: Whiteside was upset by Wylan Snoddy of West Springfield in the Patriot District semifinals. Snoddy placed 6th at the Battle of the Bridge, so deserves honorable mention, but since Whiteside was leading at the time of the pin, and I'd have to factor in Elhajj and Haidari's head-to-head wins over Snoddy, for now it is easier to leave the rankings as is. They can all settle this at the Region 6C championships next week.
190LBS
1. Corey Bell, Mountain View
2. Ryan Matheny, Lake Braddock
3. Ethan Osburn, Hayfield
4. William Lewey, McLean
5. Jon DeMarco, Gainesville
6. Telmuun Bayambajargal, Yorktown
7. Brendan Partridge, Westfield
8. Ethan Lebkisher, Marshall
9. Tyler Ritz, Cosby
10. Nicolas Pardo, Edison
Note: Again, much depends on whether -- and where -- Corey Bell wrestles. If he is out for the postseason or at 175lbs, bump everybody else up one rank.
215LBS
1. Harry Maltese, Fairfax
2. Soren Pirhoun, Marshall
3. Sean Pena, Centreville
4. Joseph Hayden, Forest Park
5. Emory Fedd, Mount Vernon

2. Naasir Edmonds, Landstown
3. Joseph Lubinskas, Battlefield
4. Juelz Peters, Alexandria City
5. Edgar Lagos Flores, John Lewis
6. John Drury, McLean
7. Charles Beamon, Westfield
8. Isaiah Peters, Chantilly
9. Devin Baugh, Thomas Dale
10. Christopher Funches, Grassfield
TEAM (Tourney)
1. Mountain View (92 placement points)
2. Chantilly, 60
3. Brooke Point, 42
4. Battlefield, 34
5. Robinson, 32
6. Cosby, 31
7. Lake Braddock, 28
8. Fairfax, 27
9. Landstown, 26
10. Grassfield, 24
Note: This is for the 6A state tourney only, assuming Bell wrestles 190 for Mountain View. If he is out of the lineup, they still would have 78 expected placement points and a clear path to the team title in their first year up in 6A, although Chantilly could make it interesting (especially if Santos can make it to the finals). In regionals, with fewer teams competing, schools with broader depth can have an advantage over teams that have a few expected state placers (i.e. Robinson, who won 6A last year with a six man team, four of whom placed with three earning state championships). So I expect Edison to likely lead the way in next week's Region 6C championships, but fall back into the pack at States.
I'll try to update these next Monday to reflect the other 6A district results (assuming they are posted on Track), but until I do so, feel free to chime in with any revisions/updates that should be noted.
