106- Darin Witcher is going to do very well at states. He had less than a minute total wresting time and won it all.
132- Colin Martin is an absolute MONSTER. He teched Wayshaun Hicks and toyed with him
138- Peyton Hatcher ran thru Gauge Cockran in 20 seconds, at 138 he is just very strong and technical.
144- Caiden Saavedra looked good but he is wrestling different this year. Its like the SR coaches have "dumbed him down " or something. last year his matches always brought out oohs and ahhs from the crowd with his throws and rolls and its just not there. He won a really deliberate dull match and I dont think he can win states at 144 not being himself.
150- Gray Arnold is very good . Hes big at 150 and very very sound. He avenged his big orange loss to Rigney winning 4-0. Rigney looked like a shell of himself. No explosion, no big shots or throws hes famous for....limping around the mat. Apparently hes having his meniscus surgery after states. Im not sure why his coaches and parents are even running him out there at this point. Its really sad there was so much hype and expectation for this kid coming into high school after winning multiple VAWA state titles and now this will be 2 years in a row that a knee has derailed him.
157 - This will be an unpopular opinion but Brady Barns has lost a step. I feel like he will struggle at states with potentially Frame or Owens
165- As i said before...give the title to Macon now. This is the second time ive seen him wrestle Piluso (who is a stud in his own right) and not give up a single offensive point. He took him down and cut him over and over and over. Macon is on a different level.
190- Landon Jobber Spence is so slick. I change my early year assessment, I do believe he beats Miller from Glenvar now and in 3a no one is touching him.
