Strasburg vs Grundy would be a good dual to watch, however, Strasburg comes out on top no matter how you spin it 106 Swink v Clevinger Swink by DEC 113 Miller v Looney Looney by FALL 120 Dean v Hall Dean by DEC 126 Martinez v Broyles Broyles by DEC 132 Shanholtz v Coleman Coleman by DEC 138 Burks v Fields Burks by FALL 144 Martinez v Griffey Griffey by MAJ 150 Burks v Gordon Burks by DEC 157 Bracken v Deel Deel by FALL 165 Burks v Ford Burks by FALL 175 Sherman v Scarberry Sherman by DEC 190 Shaw v Looney Looney by DEC 215 Conrad v Bush Bush by DEC 285 Trinidad v Shelton Shelton by FALL I have Grundy 31-24, would be a great dual though

How does forbes not at 120? He's already beaten Owlsey this year. Withrow probably his biggest roadblock (unless of course gets on Dean side) and the kid's put in work. I didn't think Stewart was making the finals last year...and boy was I wrong. Maybe not the favorite to make it there, but I can see it happening. Potter obviously a question mark, but unless the injury knocks him out, who has the talent to do it? So your standard for Forbes is that he beat a freshman twice? 2A that weak? Maybe it's not too late to combine 1A/2A for some real competition this year.

I mean that freshman is 4th in the rankings? Freshman can't be good apparently?
So if Forbes has no shot like you say...who takes him down? I already acknowledged that Withrow and Dean are roadblocks, what else you got other than a snarky reply?

Well the Central kid recently beat the Grundy wrestler and has a record of 36 - 2. Another great freshman in 2A is the number 1 ranked 113 and he beat the #1 ranked 3A 113 twice. Some freshman are pretty good this year. What is your standard for Forbes? Have you seen him wrestle? By the way we have high respect for Grundy wrestling and a future Grundy wrestler has been a training partner for Forbes this past year.

I think across 6 classifications there were 7 freshman state champs (2 in 2A). Will there be any this year?!

So getting to 7 as it was last year is very possible. Buffman at 106 3A Wetzler at 106 5A Cash at 113 2A Bush at 113 4A

I have watched him this year he is just average at 120. He may be good at 113 but not strong enough to compete with Forbes/Owsley/Withrow and Dean.

Forbes is undefeated. He had a win over Cash who will probably be 113 champ. Obviously he has a good shot at State this year. I thought Dean might be a step ahead of everyone else but he got outclassed by Shufelt and Burns at Coach K. 120 is wide open. Dean, Forbes, Withrow all have a shot.

There is a reason he ran to 1a. I have watched him this year he is just average at 120. He may be good at 113 but not strong enough to compete with Forbes/Owsley/Withrow and Dean. He didn’t “run” to 1a. His parents divorced and he had to move. He’s also been wrestling on a messed up hand all season. He’s beaten Forbes both times they’ve wrestled in matches. Pinned him at state last year. Also beat Dean for the state title at 106 and was beating him last season in the quarters when he got pinned at the last second. The running comment was unnecessary when you have no idea what’s going on in the kids life or what led to the decision.

My point was the 1A 120 is no where near the 2A this season. 1A front runner has beaten the kids you mentioned but all at 106 and 113. 120 allows kids to be stronger. Just compare the body types, Forbes is huge. I really think 120 is hardest weight class in 2A this year. It’s the only one with 4 legitimate winner possible winners.

I'm sure neither is at the same skill level this season.
