Actually not a hater, I’m an advocate for 2A wrestling as a whole. Going into Salem, they were both heavy favorites and should have been. I was watching the competition all weekend and just wanted to make it known I thought they could be on upset alert. Kudos to the kids on great careers

Now that another great year of wrestling is behind us and Vawa finished up the other weekend i would like to cover a few of my thoughts. Strasburg made history now as 3x in row and what a great achievement that is. Poquosan looked really solid with only 1 senior. Shout out to Central Wise they went 9 for 9 that’s a great accomplishment. With the Burks twins graduating and losing two other solid contributors can they retain another title? Personally yes ,but will take everyone to wrestle their best. Bringing back 6 state finalist and out of the 6 one state champ that puts the points on the board. Bringing back 10 state qualifiers, solid backs that will finally get a chance in the line up and a good freshman coming in at the lightweight division that will challenge Harrel if they are both 106. Poquosan has some really solid young wrestlers coming back 5 state finalists 3 champs out of the five. 10 state qualifiers and a good freshman coming that will make an immediate impact. My opinion is strasburg will have more overall but Poquosan has some special wrestlers that will repeat as champs again. With David Burks and Thomas Potter graduating it will open up some opportunities at those weight classes. Poquosan has really worked hard, improved physically as a team and it showed. It may come down to who is on the mat last who knows. All in All great job everyone for all that you do and until next time.
