Isn't another tazwell kid, stiltner, transferring in too? 8th grade I believe. Personally I don't care. Grundy has what wrestlers our west are looking for. If a family does what they think is best for their kid, so be it. As long as they are doing it right and not "living" in the zone. I heard Reid was going there. There’s a lot that move in during MS years or their 2nd 8th grade year. I personally don’t care either. Line them up and wrestle. As long as it’s all legal. VHSL says you’re not supposed to for athletic reasons but you can’t blame any family for trying to give their kid the best opportunities they can to succeed. Just gotta toe the line and wrestle.

Is it VSHL legal when the parents don't move with the kids or they live with other families or with other kids with no adults living with them?

Yes that is illegal in all instances except one i believe
In the event another set of parents become a kids legal guardian in which they have to stay at the legal guardians residence at least 3 days a week.
They have rules in place buy unless you follow kids home everyday how do you prove it. In the Hampton roads area, basketball and football are super competitive and kids transfer schools alot.
Its not uncommon for apartment complexs to be across the street from each other and fall in different school zones. People will literally go to peoples apartments to make sure they actually moved.
If no proof is found, and a person has their 3 proofs of residency, there's not much anyone can do about rumors
